CUIMC Alcohol Policy
As prescribed by law and University policy, no individual on the CUIMC campus shall be sold, served, given, or otherwise receive alcoholic beverages if that individual is not at least 21 years of age.
We strictly abide by Columbia University's guidelines regarding the serving and consumption of alcohol. At any event where we serve alcohol, we expect guests to drink responsibly and lawfully. When planning events, please keep the following Faculty Club-specific guidelines in mind:
- Whenever alcohol is served, both non-alcoholic beverages and food must also be served.
- For the safety of our guests, our bartenders reserve the right to not serve alcohol to those who appear to have consumed excessive amounts.
- Depending on the type of event, you may need to have a security guard present as an additional precaution.
If you plan to serve alcohol at your event, contact your designated student club advisor for guidance.
